She Paddles
Paddlesports is for everyone, and here at Pirates, we mean it.
We know that we don't currently have a 50:50 split between men and women in our club, but we're working hard to address this and encourage more women to discover the joy of paddlesports.
She Paddles Ambassador, Claire Pitts:
I started paddlesports in 2021 and, to be honest, I was absolutely terrible!
Paddling didn't come naturally for me but from the very first session, I was hooked. Now I'm a Paddlesport Instructor and on my journey to become a coach.
Paddling is my 'happy place'. It's a time when I leave the stress of life behind, enjoying the open air and really challenge myself. It has helped improve my confidence, develop a sense of achievement and given me so many new friends.
None of this would have been possible without the support of the coaches and members of this club. So, if you're thinking about joining, come along, we'll definitely look after you.
There's lots of information on the website, but a great place to start is Getting Started. We have lots of events going on along with some women only coach sessions.
If you have any questions, get in touch. I look forward to meeting you.
