Bewl Water Canoe Sailing

Bewl Water is the largest stretch of open water in the South East and offers the best opportunity to paddle a large body of water without traveling hundreds of miles out of Kent.

The trip is aimed at those members wishing to expand their horizons in the art of canoe sailing and open water canoeing; we may even look at open water rescues

This will be an afternoon event, you will need to be able to paddle for the duration of the trip in all weather conditions; there for NOT IDEAL FOR BEGINNERS. The conditions at Bewl can change from sunny to gale force winds and rain in a matter of minutes. We will aim to meet at the slip way for noon and to be on the water no later than 12:30

If you have any questions please feel free to raise them on Slack or reach out to Malcolm Oates

There is a fee to paddle on the reservoir (£20pp) and this can be done by heading to Bewl Water Day Pass; with regards to insurance, if you are a fully paid up member of British Canoeing then you are already covered. If not then Pirates Membership will also cover you.
