Event: Join Malcolm and Martin at Fordwich for a paddle on the River Stour
Date: Wednesday 16th July
Meet Time: 18:30
On Water Time: 18:45/19:00
Meet Address: We will meet at The George and Dragon pub. Parking is extremely limited so where possible please car share, there is also on street parking but again this is limited
W3W: https://what3words.com/turns.roadmap.belief
Responsible Coach: Malcolm Oates
Paddle Plan: The trip will consist of an out and back journey where we will paddle away from Fordwich for 45/60 mins and then turn around and come back to the start point.
We will be on the water for a good 2 hours so please ensure you are dressed for the weather and can comfortably paddle for that duration. Whilst standing is not compulsory it is a far easier trip on you feet rather than knees. However using a compilation of both will still make it an enjoyable trip.
Craft: This will be a multi craft event and we will spit the group accordingly. but this does mean we will limit total numbers
Skills level Required:
This is an ideal trip for those coming to the end of the beginners course, or those that have the paddling experience and want to explore somewhere different.
If unsure of skills required please message Malcolm Oates or Martin Kenicer
Club Equipment: Equipment is available to borrow, please make sure you book it out with the Quartermaster via webform and collect at least 2 week in advance of use if away from Lake and deliver it back within 1 week after use.
If in doubt, please reach out to the trip organiser.
Organiser: Malcolm Oates
Responsible Coach/Leader/Instructor: Malcolm Oates & Martin Kenicer
